Spring is such a great time of the year when it comes to home design because we’re finally saying goodbye to all of the knitted blankets and throws (they served us well) and saying hello to brighter colours and a more energised home.

Modern Coastal Style

Modern coastal style is truly timeless and if you live right by the beach, it’s even better.

Incorporating nautical stripes, wicker furniture and a mix of blues, greens and whites is such a fun way to bring an ocean theme into your home.

Plus, it makes the room feel so much bigger and more peaceful.

Embrace Neutrals

In the case that you don’t love the coastal style, instead opt for neutral colours with a hint of pastel blues, greens and pinks to really tie it all together.

This helps to create a classic look in your home and it can look great no matter what of year it is.

Quiet luxury consists of investing in high-quality pieces that will last you a long time but don’t feature fancy brand names.

I’m a big advocate of investing in your home furniture because when you invest in timeless pieces, these can transition with you throughout the season but also throughout any moves that you make.

Organic decor is a huge trend at the minute with furniture pieces that are not polished or sanded down.

Instead, people are embracing the natural material of the furniture.

Spring is the perfect time of year to bring that outdoors into your home and have thriving plants, flowers and succulents in your home.

This is not only great for your air quality but they also look good in all areas of your home.

Spring is such a great time for simple tablescapes

This usually consists of Easter-themed table runners, placemats, small vases of stemmed flowers and decorative bowls that fit the Easter season.

Since so many of us are embracing soft minimalism, I think we’re going to see less, bright colourful Easter decorations and instead find muted alternatives.
