Choosing an armchair for a space in your home is a big decision.

Armchairs attract attention and it’s a great way for you to make a statement in your room.

Matching furniture sets are officially out and now having a statement armchair is all the rage.

In this blog post, I’ve gathered the top trending armchairs to bring this space in your home all together.

From elegant designs to unique armchair shapes, there is something on this list for every room.

How to Choose a Unique Armchair for Your Space

Before we get into it, you need to understand how to choose a unique armchair for your space. You can do that by answering these questions.

What Is Your Colour Scheme?

The first thing you need to remember when choosing an armchair for your space is finding an armchair that is going to fit in with the colour scheme of the room.

In this blog post, I’ve collected neutral armchairs so they should go with everything.

That being said, there are certain colourways for certain chairs that may add a little extra class to your room.

In my opinion, when choosing a statement design, neutral colours tend to be best, just so that it's not too over the top but feel free to have fun with it!

How Much Space Do You Have?

The next thing you need to consider is the space that you have available in the room.

Although the object is to make a statement with these unique armchairs, taking up to much space can make the room feel cluttered and as though the armchair is out of place.

What is Your Room Theme?

The final thing you need to consider is the theme of the room. Is this room a much more contemporary space? Or are you trying to create a luxurious feel?

When adding a statement armchair, you need to find an armchair that fits in with that design.

Uniquely shaped contemporary armchairs can easily look out of place in a room that is traditionally designed.

Trending Unique Armchairs

Now you know what to look for in your next armchair, here are the top trending armchairs.

1. Andrew Martin Winnie Armchair

We are kicking off this list of the top trending armchairs with the Winnie chair from Andrew Martin.

This chair is described as being a modern take on the classic mid century tub design.

The chair comes in luxurious white colour with a gentle boucle effect.

The black wooden legs are a stark contrast that makes this chair stand out, in a good way.

Due to the simplicity of the design, I think this chair would look great in multiple interiors.

2. Andrew Martin Diana Armchair

Next on this list of the top unique armchairs is the Diana Chair by Andrew Martin.

I rarely see this design of chair but I love it!

It has an elegant design that is extremely comfortable. The chair also has a slight recline for ultimate relaxation.

Additionally, the chair is finished and a soft white with a padded seat and back cushions. The frame is also handcrafted which just adds so much more character!

When you think of a comfy armchair, this is the chair that comes to mind.

3. Andrew Martin Lady May Armchair

The Lady May Armchair by Andrew Martin is elegant whilst also being cosy.

The chair has a removable linen cover so you can easily wash it and a super soft fibre mix for ultimate comfort. However, don’t worry, the firm back keeps this armchair comfortable.

4. Andrew Martin Alto Chair

If you have a contemporary space in your home and you’re looking to fill it with a chair you will absolutely love this auto chair by Andrew Martin.

This has a mid century appeal and comes in three different colours to match any interior.

The curved back provides support whilst the foam and fibre seat keeps this chair comfortable too. This is definitely an accent chair that will stand out in the room.

5. Andrew Martin Bella Armchair

This is one of my favourite unique armchairs on the list.

The Bella Chair by Andrew Martin features the boucle material and has a contemporary feel that will fit perfectly in modern interiors.

The seat features a back cushion with plush foam filling for endless comfort. Cylindrical legs easily support the frame whilst giving this chair a fun look.

6. Andrew Martin Karma Armchair

This list of the top unique armchairs would not be complete without this armchair by Andrew Martin.

The chair is made from that boucle material with enveloping curved arms. You truly have to just look at the pictures for this one because it’s totally hard to explain!

The armchair comes in a fresh ivory shade which makes it stand out, in the best way possible.

7. Andrew Martin Rory Armchair

The Rory armchair by Andrew Martin has so much more of a sophisticated effect.

This chair has a mid century design with clean straight lines that can make any home feel so much more expensive.

If you’re looking to create a calm contemporary space, this is the chair that I would pick.

The wooden frame is complemented by the fresh linen fabric and I think this would look so good around a coffee table.

8. Andrew Martin Audrey Armchair

Following on with the elegant effect the Audrey chair by Andrew Martin is in another one of my top pics.

This mid century modern armchair has a rich wooden frame which is easily complimented by the cream fabric.

The wraparound back makes this chair look seamlessly expensive and the textured effect gives a luxurious feel.
